During April 2019, within the EU funded project “Strengthening the national capacities in the area of asylum, migration and trafficking in human beings”, IOM Skopje has organized  two capacity building trainings on Trafficking in Human Beings and Smuggling of Migrants for 82 members of the judiciary with 74% of them being women.

The training has provided the judges and public prosecutors with more knowledge about trafficking in human beings crime, trafficking in children and protection of victims of trafficking, smuggling of migrants through analysis of a variety of case studies from the court practice by allowing the participants to exchange their experiences and best practices.

Overall a total 8 two-day capacity building training sessions have been organized since January, for 190 members of the judiciary out of which 135 participants or 71% were women and 55 participants or 29% were men.
